for all the younger guys that are running into the whole "nice guys as friends only" thing.....if your going to stay a nice guy then get used to it.....you are trying to fight hundreds of thousands of years of built in social and genetic programing.....it works like this....
a hundred thousand years ago...back when we fought and killed our food and each other at club and spear point on a regular basis....and births led to a 70% + mortality rate......and just about anything you encountered on a daily basis could kill you.....women were programed to seek out and mate with the "alpha male" of any group they were with.there are good reasons for this...
survivor genetics-the alpha male would usually possess the best genetic mix of the group...otherwise he wouldn't be the alpha male.....this would give her offspring a better chance at survival.....
protection- being the mate of the alpha male in some fashion also would place her under his protection and give her and her offspring higher social status within the group...and a better chance of survival....

now in that time period the the best fighter and hunter was also usually the loudest,brashest,woohooing MF'r in the group...and rightfully so...having had to prove his status on a DAILY basis ,at constant risk to himself....
the problem comes with the safety inherent in civilization within the last 50 years or so...now-a-days the loudest *sshole in the room isn't the best at much of anything..just the loudest...
somewhere along the way the assholes have figured out that as long as they act the part..and look the part to some extent....they can pull *ss...girls just can't help their genetic programing and flock to them ..even if they might be wannabe gangta' thugs that don't amount to sh*t in the real world....girls are just picking up on the same ques they've had to use for thousands of years.....these guys use that and work it to the extent that in fairly short order girls devide the guys in their life into 2 categories....guys they want to sleep with and guys they are friends with....and view any guy that doesn't fit neatly into those paradigms with great suspicion...and distrust.....

Personally, I ignore feminists if they are volatile. I can be a judgmental person so it doesn't help when a head case is yelling about being oppressed by the boys club. Since I've been is Psychology at UAB I can say there is hope for those worried. There is an unusually high amount of females in my classes and most students tend to either lean to the left or are flat-out sprinting. I like to think that I'm more of an independent. I don't believe in the death penalty but you can die trying to take my guns. I am scared of big government and think that DC is full of elitist lying bureaucrats focused solely on demagoguery. They are all pigs in my book, including Barry Soetoro. My point is that I don't and won't agree with someone that doesn't share my political beliefs. That doesn't mean I can't talk about them or someone else's. Its better to ingor the ones that are hostile but they are very hard to find. Most feminist I have encountered are very nice people. I agree with them. Its harder for a women. I have had great conversations and even dated a few. Just treat them like you would any other female. Walking around on egg shells is no way to introduce yourself.

Alot of schools (mainly private and/or catholic) teach latin. Or he may have cheated and used a translating site. Or he has a passion for it. Interestingly enough, Alabama's state motto is latin "Audemus Jura Nostra Defendere".
