Well, this is getting interesting. If you haven't seen this new 7-part series
on Animal Planet, things are getting close to open warfare between the
Japanese Whalers and the Sea Shepard Conservation Society and
Paul Watson.

Lot's of debate about whaling and Watson's aggressive actions to stop
them on the high seas.

I thought he was within his protest right up until he bombarded other ships
with chemicals and boarded a whaler. If that had been my ship, I know how
to deal with trespassers and those who approach with ill intent.

I suspect the Japanese will now carry a security force aboard, an armed
security force. It will escalate until someone gets killed.

Remember....Wounded Knee, Ruby Ridge, Waco, and other confrontations
that could have ended differently if people would exercise their brain more
than their trigger finger?

Just a prediction that this will reach that level sooner than we expect.

i saw this advertised and really wanted to watch it.

as far as i know, no ship, fishing ship,cargo ship, tanker, etc, are allowed to carry guns onboard (with the exception of a flare gun that must be secured and only the ship's captain has acces to it). on the other side, with aussie navy, and us navy, they've been having some trouble with drug smugglers, and pirates in the coasts of africa and australia. now these guys, even tho they are doing is for a good cause, they are in a certain way commiting terrorism, last episode i saw they were throwing some type of acid bottles to a japanese whaler, that turns into a crime. Greenpeace has done that before too and they have been considered terrorist already. those anti-whale killing ppl are a joke, most of them are lazy and like to talk shit behind each others back, their leadership sucks. 5 of them almost got themselves killed for lack of attention, and 4 more almost got lost at sea for lack of common sense and bad decisions.
