My ak will shoot 50-100 rounds and then quit firing. Have to hit it a little and it will work again

I was thinking maybe a wiring problem.

TRY FLIPPING THE selector switch and firing....this should let it fire...it has something to do with the switch unit i believe

i have had a similar problem with my gun in the past but it stopped doing it

Thanks. I believe me and Richard are going to take it apart today and try to find any problems on the inside also.

Me and Richard got it working.

what did you have to do to it?

Took it apart and found the selector switch was loose on the inside and it was turning from the vibrations from the gun. So tighetned it up and it works fine now.
