Whether it is a role as a military sniper or airsoft, concealment is just as important either way. In the real world, you may be able to engage a tango at longer ranges, but so can the enemy. The same optics you may employ to find them, they can find you. A sniper is a sniper, engagements are just closer in airsoft. Military snipers don't shoot everything they see. I have heard from those who have been there done that , and I've researched a lot on snipers, and more often than not, they don't even send a round down range. However, they are an outstanding force multiplier in my opinion. The problem with many sniper airsofters is they want to shoot everything that moves and be part of the action. It doesn't work that way! Sniperwoosh, all of the techniques that you stated are employed by snipers. The only difference is the stated shorter engagement distance. My post was merely suggested as a helpful guideline. The majority of the tactics and techniques employed by military snipers would translate into airsoft. The only variabe would be whether you are talking about straightup airsoft skirmishes or milsim. In a previous post, Josh mentioned using a manual and using more of a milsim platform, hence my suggestion. I am not trying to step on toes or anger members, so please don't take offence as it was not intended.
