I just finished painting it earlier this evening. I started by spraying the stock with Krylon's non-skid coating. I then followed up with the usual Krylon camo in tan/khaki, OD, and brown. I think I may need to tweek it a bit. One of the after pictures is taken with the flash off. I'm still waiting for the rings to arrive so I can mount the scope.

The paintjob looks good, but you might as well cover it in ghille wraps.

Here are some outside pictures. They are minus the scope as I'm still waiting for the rings. Solo, yes I plan on utilizing a ghillie wrap. I may need to get some tan or dark earth. The brown seems too dark.

I think the brown is fine, but the tan color is a little bit too bright, it might blend in even better if the tan color was replaced by coyote brown.

I'm not too keen on the tan either. The real problem that I have with the brown is that it seems to have a bit of a shine to it. It doesn't appear to be as flat in nature as the other colors. Once I am able to mount the scope, I may modify the colors/patern a bit more.

Speckle the tan with brown and the brown with tan to help with the shine. Or lightly speckle the whole gun with green. And also, a little dirt will fix it a lot easier.

Well, you'll never ever get a gun (or anything else) to blend in perfectly without using at least something natural. And, at least I do have a teeny bit of experience here.

Did you paint the bolt (Exterior of the cylinder)?

No. It is still covered with masking tape. Matter of fact, every internal/mechanical part is still covered with masking tape. I taped everything up before putting it together and painted(hop up, trigger box, bolt, and plugged the barrel). I wanted to make sure that things were covered just in case any paint were to seep through any spots between the stock and the barrel. I am not too satisfied with the outcome of the painting. I would have taken my time and made it more effective if it were not for trying to utilize the last warm day prior to the arrival of the frigid temperatures. I left all of the tape on it, so when the 50 degree temps return the latter part of next week, I plan on improving or redoing the paint.

Here are some more pictures of its new look. As stated above, I was going to repaint it. I got some Rustoleum flat brown and Rustoleum camo khaki. The Rustoleum flat brown is more flat than Krylon's ultra flat camo and Rustoleum camo khaki is even more flat. I recommend Rustoleum over Krylon. I did it last night. The indoor pics vary from the outdoor pics. After taking the pics, I couldn't leave well enough alone last night. With it getting dark and the lighting in the garage not as adequate as daylight, I ended up overdoing it and getting it too dark. Later on today, I may add a little more khaki ever so lightly to blend in with leaves and dead weeds/grass a bit better. I tried to take some of the pictures from the same perspective as before to get a good comparison.
