dmrs are expensive...but are really cool.....though at most fields they are limited to 450 fps....semi-auto only bolt action snipers are more affordable and can be 500 fps or slightly over

Ive seen more bolt snipers because they are cheaper. DMRS usually use a AEG> The only awesome AEG sniper rifle that i can think of coming out right now is the Real Sword Dragonov.

Bolt action rifles can be just as expensive as AEG DMRs but they tend to be less while more accurate. DMRs are not for true sniping roles and instead are intended for accracte squad support. If you like waiting for that one shot, go solo with a friends bolt gun and see for yourself. Otherwise I'd get an AEG and just tag along for a while to get a better feel for the game. JG makes a nice rifle calle dthe BAR-10, for $130, that has many options to become a very succesful and silent sniper rifle.

I am an airsoft sniper. i use bolt action and semi auto rifles. it all depends on what you do. if you are in a squad and move around then you are a designated marksman but if you are like me and stay in one spot then you are a sniper... not saying snipers dont move, just not in a squad or group. now some semi auto weapons have been mistaken for a dmr... like the SR25, its a sniper rifle. not a dmr now in airsoft... in certain fields you do not need a lot of range. at the wellington field both my bolt action and my m16(frankenstein monster) have the same range. and accuracy... it all depends on what you decide you are...

Mind your manners, newbie. This conversation is to help someone with a question not undercut someones experience. Kija has been doing what he does for 1.5-2 years now. It would help if you use emoticons to let us know what tone of voice you are using. A rifle is not even half of what makes someone a sniper. See, you know that I'm smiling. I'm not upset. Just thought you might want to know so you don't step on any toes around here. $80 is a good deal. I have used one of Wade's L96s with .36g BB and it performed very well. I have heard that the new Madbull BBs are very nice. Their .36g BBs are about $20 for 2000. When you use a bolt action rifle 2000 BBs lasts a long time so don't worry about the price. Wade, does that come with a scope? If it doesn't, Dark Swat, I have an extra and I thing Woosh does too.
