I guess the 5th time is a charm. This is the 5th time I've painted my bar-10 and hopefully the last. In thees pics, the sun makes it lighter and appear more brown and in shadows/foliage, it's darker and appears more green.

This is the 1st time I painted it:

These are pics I took yesterday in the current scheme:

Gah, that thing'd be impossible to see in the midst of a battle!!! Good job, just remind me to not be on the other side of the scope >.<

amazing man i have a jg bar10 and want to make a ghillie wrap AND spray paint it! my friends hate the idea of ruining the rubbery feel of the stock, but i would love to paint mine similar to yours; just more for thick woodland!
great job man i couldn't find it in the 5th picture and wouldn't have been able to find it in the 6th in the midst of a battle!

When I painted mine I sanded the stock. It removed the rubbery exterior. I thought I would take the paint job better. They are nice stocks but you might want to use some abrasive spray or deck tape. Te spray come in black, clear and yellow. I've found this in Homewood for $12. I've been interested to try it but have never got around to actually getting it.

Sorry for the rant, but what I'm getting at is that you could apply a texture that would improve your grip to your stock. You might loose the "Hogue" feel but your stock does not have to be smooth or slick.

I just got back in town after being gone for a week, so this is the 1st chance I've had to check up on the latest and greatest. How I started out was, I sanded the rubber finish off. Second, I applied some Krylon non-skid coating to the stock. Once that set up, I then proceeded to "camo" it up.
