Welcome to the 'Nam!
Operation: Jade Dragon Histori-sim.
A fellow Airsoft player and Vietnam veteran wrote on the subject "As a an Army veteran intimately familiar with both conventional unit operations and LRRP missions in SE Asia I have always felt that Airsoft and Vietnam simulation are a logical match. Compared to other periods in history the Vietnam war was for the most part a close in affair fought by small units in brief, often times highly violent, fast paced actions. The primary weapons used by both sides are almost entirely represented by Airsoft replicas with just a few common weapons not available. Without the need for expensive custom rifles and sub machine guns the cost of participating in Vietnam Airsoft is lower than contemporary impressions with their Kevlar helmets RAV vests and body armor. Uniforms are readily available at affordable prices and a wide variety of impressions are appropriate both for the US, her allies and the NVA and VC opposition forces."

All standard Georgia Airsoft Field Rules apply.
Uniform Requirements:
As with all of our historical events, this one has uniform requirements.
Please do not embarrass yourself by showing up for a Vietnam-era event in multicam, protec helmet, and tactical vest.
One of the most important factors in creating an immersive and enjoyable Vietnam simulation is the willingness of participants to take on a basic uniform appearance appropriate for the era and location. For this event, you must wear acceptable Vietnam war style uniform and headgear.
If you're not sure what is acceptable, ask!
Players that go the extra mile to produce a good impression will be rewarded with leadership positions and some extra special missions/treats.
A red handerchief-sized "dead rag" is required gear for all participants.
US Recon Team Thor personnel:
Olive drab or tiger stripe fatigues/bdus.
Black or OD boots.
Pot helmet (plain OD or Mitchell cover), OD or tiger boonie hat, green beret, olive drab doo rag, olive drab or tigerstripe cap.
Mainforce Vietcong D223 Battalion personnel:
