Where did you read June? Should be August 8-9th w/ camping on the 7th.

Looks like I'll be there covering the event. Mat, call me and maybe we can arrange to car-pool. I am probably renting a car for this.

Also, spoke with one of the organizers today about it. Apparently, all of Cecil NAS is the field! Runways, woods, buildings, bunkers.....all of it. Camping will be in one of the hangers with big fans set-up to knock off some of the heat.

GC III will be at Camp Blanding.

Ok. A correction from my last post. The event will not include all of Cecil NAS. It will only be a 40 acre+/- annex that is NNW of the main installation. From the aerials, there appears to be no buildings. Mainly wooded with a long line of 21 Huge ammo bunkers along the norther edge, A cleared out area in the center that I think is described ah a helo landing site.

Here's the coordinates for those of you wanting to look it up on Google Earth: 30°15'57.59"N, 81°54'15.40"W

I'm not sure if that's correct. All info on their forums say otherwise. The field is supposed to include bunker row (for OPFOR) and the allies are operating out of the compound of the SW section of the map.

Time to gear and a go.
