| We consider 330-350FPS auto and 400FPS semi-auto a 0' MED. We warn people about CQB, its not for everyone, a 10' MED never works so we play at 0' and just advise those that don't want to be involved not to enter. 400FPS a 30' MED. SAWs and DMRs and kinda tricky depending of foliage but we play SAWs from 400 to 450FPS and DMRs from 450 to 550FPS. SAWS are the main concern here, if the foliage is too thick than we adjust the rules for safety, DMRs are considered along side they because we want them to be just as effective. Boltys are boltys they can shoot the hardiest. I have other guns that are FPS compliant to your rules. But no, most of us are not squeamish towards higher FPS regs than you proposed. We do expect MEDs, and blind fire rules to be used but then again we are going to be quests in your house. Its not like we have not done it before but by we I mean SCA and that is a small group that can't speak for everyone. If you guys do play without blind fire rules you might want to give us a heads up. I could drop M120s in my M249 and M60E4 to 400FPS. Most of the time I break out my SAWs at 450FPS with SP-130 or SP-140 springs. I not sure you are going to be comfortable with that since you guys group SAWs with automatic AEGs. 360-450FPS is a pretty big change. Some of these stock ACM support guns come shooting over 400FPS and they only pickup more joules when the players use heavy BBs. That's your call completely. When we do use high SAW FPS rules we extend the players MED to 50' to represent them as back players supporting with over-the-head suppressive fire. DMRs (450-500) and Snipers (500-600FPS) are usually raised to help support heavier BBs to represent their accurate fire but with he same MED. That might help. I'm not sure if I feel comfortable having you change your rules just because a dozen guys might come. It doesn't seem fair to your steady players. Like I said its your call. We have been recently overhauling our safety rules. Here are some of our revisions. They are suggestions to our members and not expectations. | Quote: | CQB: Close Quarters Battle areas include buildings and 30ft of their surroundings. There is no MED inside CQB areas. Only Pistols, Battle Rifles in Semi auto, and CQB approved AEGs can be used in CQB areas. No SAWs or Snipers are permitted to fire inside these designated zones.
Battle Rifle: Airsoft guns measured at no higher than 400 FPS. The MED for Battle Rifles is set at 30 feet. Battle rifles that are at 350 FPS and lower are allowed to be fired full auto in CQB area. No Box or auto winding magazines allowed.
SAW: Squad Automatic Weapons cannot measure higher that 400 FPS. The MED for a SAW is set at 30 feet. The SAW is a support weapon and is limited to one per unit. Only accurate replicas are allowed for this role. If in doubt, get prior approval for event coordinators or field owners. *This may commonly change to 450 FPS with a 50 foot MED.
Sniper: Bolt-action or Semi-Auto only Airsoft guns measured higher that 400 FPS and no higher that 550 FPS. The MED for a sniper rifle is 100 feet. . Players with sniper rifles that measure at or below 400 FPS have a MED of 30 feet. Snipers are support role and will be limited to one sniper per unit.
*Semi-automatic rifles may commonly change to 450 FPS with a 100 foot MED. *Bolt action rifles may commonly change to 500 FPS with a 100 foot MED. *Bolt action and semi-automatic rifle users may be tested on range estimation due to safety reasons.

| Much of what you said is acceptible.there are times that you may find yourself at a point to be forced to fire shorter disatnces than the meds accept due to the fact that in a firefight you never know where the other guy might jump out at you.as a sniper I do try to bang people out if they're to close to shoot,BUT if that person chooses to ignore the fact that I'm drawn down on him and continues to engage then he/she accepts the consiquenses if you get my meaning, lol.I consider SAWS M249'/M60's high FPS weapons as they're support weapons 450-500 on them is allowed.DRMs are allowed 450 but do have to be semi only.As far as blindfiring it is not allowed at all.Anyone caught doing it could be exspelled from the game, not only is it considered bad sportsmanship but it can also be dangeruos to players.Headshot do happen but players are acked in the extreme to try not to do it.On the other hand as a sniper i take what shot are availible so if you're within my ranga and the shot is good, and that person is hiding with his head showing, then to bad for him, lol.basicaslly run the saws the way you nornally do,it's all good.It really boils down to common sence and good judgment if you think about it.Most of the members do play by BEAR CLAW RULES anyway. |

| Sure, go ahead. I'll let the other teams speak for themselves but I thunk Steel City Airsoft would be honored to have a private section. You guys seem very reasonable with the field regs. I don't see why anyone wouldn't be able to field all there replicas. mateba |
