At the request of local military personnel involved in MILSIM Airsoft, Centurion Training Group will be conducting a one day basic MOUT course. This course will be open to civilian Airsofters, subject to appropriate laws and common sense.
When? 25 APR 09, 1000 hours until students and cadre get tired, 1800 minimum, 2330 max.
Where? Pershing Alternative Academy, 193 W. Easton, Tulsa OK.
How Much? $75/student
What? Instruction will cover basic MOUT (Military Operations on Urban Terrain) interior tactics (room clearing, hallway/auditorium type movement, stairwells, etc.) and force-on-force training. OPFOR will be provided and a high student – instructor will be maintained. After initial training, students will run multiple clearing scenarios at the fireteam and squad level. You’re going to learn the basics, clear rooms and structures and carry out assaults on “hostile forces”.
All students should bring a signed and notarized hold-harmless waiver. Under 18 should bring a hold-harmless waiver signed and notarized by a parent with contact information for that parent on the waiver. Parents will be contacted prior to commencement of training.
Attendees must be at least 15 years of age and accompanied by parent or sibling that will also be undertaking the training. Under no circumstances will convicted felons be allowed to train. TO THIS END: All adults wishing to attend training should go by the records division of their local police department or sheriff’s office and obtain a records check that clearly states no previous felony convictions (the records division will be able to print this for the applicant). No waiver, no record check = no training. Adults bringing a minor to the event are encouraged to have a signed medical release in the event of an injury or accident before, during or after the Airsoft training.
By paying the enrollment fee, students agree to abide by Centurion Training Group (hereafter CTG) safety standards, and understand that cadre members retain the right to dismiss any individual from training, without recourse or refund, for any safety or behavior-related infraction. SAFETY WILL BE PARAMOUNT. Payment of the enrollment fee and provision of the waiver will also serve as acknowledgment that the student is aware of risks inherent to recreational MILSIM Airsoft activities and assumes all risks and responsibilities of participating therein. Spot checks of students and their gear will be made for safety purposes.
Payment should be made by adult parents of attendees under the age of 18.
When making payment, please type the following into the comments section:
• First and last name
• Age of student
• If student is under 18, advise the name of the parent or adult sibling that will be accompanying student.
What to bring: Students should bring proper safety gear, including full face mask, and whatever pellets/gas/etc. they will need to sustain their Airsoft weapon for 8 to 12 hours of training. Gloves and a cup are recommended, doing without will be the decision and responsibility of the student. Loadbearing kit as needed, helmet and/or radio as desired. At least one (1) rifle or carbine will be needed. A secondary Airsoft pistol is suggested but not mandatory if the student wishes to train on and possibly employ transition drills. Back up weapons are suggested in the event of breakage or other attrition. Flashlight. Some of the area to be trained and played in will be dark. Students are encouraged to bring a weapon-mounted light and a handheld light for low- and no-light training. CTG cadre have found end-cap flashlights to be most effective in low-light conditions (Strategos “Gladius”, Surefires, Streamlights, etc.), but these are not mandatory.
A lunch break will be held at the discretion of the students, however all are encouraged to bring snacks or a lunch to minimize time taken away from training and scenario work.
In the interests of full disclosure, please not there will be no "advanced" instruction deemed to be potentially dangerous to LE in the wrong hands, nor will there be the slightest tolerance of safety violations or inappropriate behavior. This is to ensure the safety of police personnel and to maximize enjoyment of the students.
