FPS Paintball has expanded into airsoft. Information is available on the website here: http://www.fps-paintball.com/?page_id=50. There aren't any pics up yet, but the field is indoor and set up as part office suite, part open space. Typically a team starts in the office area, and a team outside. the game is team elimination with the emphasis on the outside team getting into the office and taking out the enemy. There are no weapon of fps limits since we are doing it as reservation only. the only requirement is that the eye protection make a complete seal around the eye.

I am currently trying to get 10 people together for a game. I only have 4-6 so far. So if anyone is up for a little skirmish let me know.

post what day and time you want. I'll probably be working it, so you could count me in. I'll try to get up with some people i know once we have a specific day/time in mind.

I am trying to get a list of people who are going to play before I reserve a playdate.

It will most likely be FRI,SAT, or SUN night. How ever I am open to weeknights too.

i work the paintball side from 6-10 on friday and sunday, but times outside of that should be fine. Me and a bunch of people might be going to the op on dec 6, but i haven't had an update on that in a while. u can schedule the reservation tentatively without giving a deposit. That way you have a definate time to tell people and some flexibility to change if it won't work out. I'll be there 6-10 if you want to call or stop by.

I will stop by sometime I have yet to see the actual field itself. I am getting closer to getting enough people. Come on people we need to get airsoft going in huntsville. If us players unite and make it easier for others to find out we are playing in this area then airsoft should grow.

PS: I am starting a Huntsville/N AL airsoft team focused primarily on playing 1-2 playdates a month and advertising the wonderful world of airsoft. Just PM me if you would happen to be interested in helping me get things going for our area as far as games go. Because we got a place we just have to come together.

What time of day do you guys think will work out best.

I think the best times would be mid afternoon (1-3, 3:30-5:30) or later at night (9:30-11:30). i believe those are the standard times.

Players, I own and operate Mt. Doom Paintball Field www.mtdoompaintball.com located in Hanceville, AL. We are about exactly between Huntsville and Birmingham. We are one of the oldest paintball fields in the world and have a LARGE scenario field full of bunkers, forts, bases, a maze of trails and roadways large towers and fortresses used in 24 Hour Games. We have teamed up with www.24hourgames.com to create paintball scenario games and Ajax of 24HG now wants to expand into Airsoft scenario games. We think there is a large potential for players once a good place to play is established. We have 200 acres of woodlands here (see map on Mt. Doom website...or Google us) I would like to invite the Huntsville players to come to the event which may be in January 09. I would like to see the sport of Airsoft grow just like paintball has grown. We had a large group of Huntsville Airsoft players here a couple of years ago and they had a great time here but seem to have disbanned since then. Hopefully with a good place midway between Bham and Huntsville we can generate great big games for everyone in the area. If you think you'd come to games here please reply to this post. I will try to watch the forums and answer any questions anyone has.

How big is the fps field?

The room is about 75 x 75 feet. The office section is approx half of the field, and it is divided into 7 rooms of various shapes, sizes, and entry ways. There are some bunkers in the remaining half which is mainly open for people to move around and give cover fire. I was trying to get some pictures to put up on the website, but my camera couldn't take good pictures because there wasn't enough light. I'll try again in early january for some pictures for the website, and a video tour for youtube.
