I start this thread off with an idea for a mine. i have one half built . it consist of pvc,wood,a nail, and powder. it is a homeade version of a powdershot landmine. once i finish it i will post pictures and the steps to build it all in one convenient post.

also i have a half made simulated pipe bomb that uses .22 cal blanks and can be strapped to a tree or nailed to a wall. i need to do a few mods and it will be ready.

this thread can also be used for the discussion of home-made grenades that work well. like the bad karma tp grenades. they are decent for the amount of time and $ in them. http://www.badkarmaairsoft.net/grenades.htm

does anyone know the regulations for tennis balls at the bad karma airsoft field???

You would have to show it to them(Them being all of BK core team). I doubt something that looks like that will fly. Are you going to make it into something that looks like a piece of real world military equipment? It would be kind of strange for someone to be running around with a potato gun. Now if you make a tennis ball mortar that would be cool.

i saw a guy at noob day with something similar to this. his shot tennis balls. it was mainly for taking out tanks but could be shot into buildings.

As of now i have an in line launcher using a 2" pvc chamber with a schrader fill valve and 0-160 psi guage. then i have a modified sprinkler valve and a 2" by 31 inch long barrel. i changed the way it was made so it would look more realistic. it is all in 1 straight line and stands about 6 feet tall. i know the real launchers are around 5' i believe . at 75 psi it will launch a pototo from my house at the bottom of the hill over my brothers house and land somewhere on the field where we play. so im guessing 250 to 300 yards at 75 psi with a potato.

I will test it later but i think that a tennis ball launched at 20-29 psi would go about 200 feet and be safe. when i do experiments i always test them first, then i test them on myself before using them against others.

Why would you shoot a tennis ball at people anyways? I am sure that one launcher was for tanks only.

the bad karma people let him use it on tanks and buildings. he shot it into a room and the ref went in and called all the folks in the room out.

It better be the equivalent amount of force (joules?) as a .25 bb at 400 FPS. You might make some enemies if you shoot in a window and hit someones goggles off.
