Yes, would like to find a different way to charge it but for nerf projectiles it should be okay. No plans to shoot at anything but buildings and if I can find some nerf howlers to simulate artillery.

try your local family dollar...or other dollar stores...the howlers are noisy but tough to launch given that the "howler"part sticks out from the sides...you might do better with just the straight nerf vortex type mini footballs...
