| Thanks Madrule, very convincing videos...I had already ordered the other pair, but as luck would have it, I did a google on ESS goggles, and came across this: ESS Goggles on EBAY for a mere $15.00 used...I was happy! _________________ "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and if you look long into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche

| ESS goggles are awesome. I was going to suggest EBay as well. I got my Revision Locust on Ebay for $35. Most people play with the clear lenses. A Lot of the high end models come with both. Go to ESS's website and look at their testimonials they are pretty compelling. |

| I opted for an all MARPART Woodland Digital loadout. Like ominousassassin said, it blends well here in Alabama. Here is my kit list: TRU-SPEC Digital Woodland Boonie TRU-SPEC Digital Woodland T-R-U Tac Response BDU Pants TRU-SPEC Digital Woodland Tac Response Shirt The above items were purchased here: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/US-CAMO-ETCThe Following Items were purchased through AirsoftGI: OE TECH Riggers Belt (L/XL, TAN): http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_177&products_id=2150OE TECH M16 Magazine Dual Molle Pouch (TAN) http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1151Purchased from a local Army Navy Surplus Store (This & That, Huntsville, AL) is this TRU-SPEC Hydration Pack (Tan) Brahma Boots "Swat" style with steel toe. These will be swapped out for a more sensible Tan boot, without the steel. These were bought at Wally-World. ESS Night Vision Compatable Goggles, purchased used off of EBAY. Here is link to a similar version of the goggles: ESS NVG GogglesWeapons purchased through AirsoftGI: G&G Full Metal GR-16 A3 Airsoft Gun ( M16-A3 ) http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2837G&G GR16 (5 Pack) 79rds Mid Capacity Magazine http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3277Specter Armed Forces Deployment Package SOP Sling http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5103It is not complete by any means, but I do have a good foundation with which to build on. I will likely add a drop leg holster and a GBB KJW 1911 Hicapa for CQB in my next round of purchases. _________________ "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and if you look long into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche

| My MARPAT arrived in the mail yesterday, and I love it! At the local This & That Army Navy Store they only carry Propper brand apparel plus the issues. Unlike the Tru-Spec I just got, the Propper brand was so still and starchy. Although mine has the "New" feel to it, it is not starchy at all, Tru-Spec looks to be good stuff. | My experience with my tru-spec MARPAT is that it sucks. It fades way too quickly. |

I'll have to get back to you in 2 or 3 washings to verify that one...it looks good now though! _________________ "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and if you look long into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche

| Tru-spec does NOT suck. The other brands do suck. I have some weird brand (I can't remember the name) and it faded very VERY quickly. I have heard that Tru-Spec doesn't really fade. If it does its not much. _________________ "May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't" -George S. Patton

| well, from my experiences i dont like truspec, i had 2 sets of tru-spec get a rip, had 1 set of propper for twice the time and no rips. however i wont say truspec overall sucks, it could always be just a coincidence that i got the 2 that ripped, rest may be great, just like he may have just got the 1 uniform that was made worse than their usual... |

Let me rephrase then: My tru-spec MARPAT is complete and total bullshit. It faded noticeably after only 3 games. I threw the boonie away, and used the pants and jacket as backing for my airsoft target... So from my personal experience Tru-spec sucks and is a waste of money. So don't believe everything you "hear". Also don't disagree about something you admit you have no personal experience with. Even if they don't completely suck as a company. There is still a large enough chance that it will suck. So you can't say they are good.
Krazy C, this is what we call poor quality control. If it is a gamble to buy it then it is no good. As there is no such thing as a sure bet. |

true lol, vut i have heard a lot of good things about it too so i just thought i wouldnt completely say it sucks, just in case we've had really bad luck lol...but point still stands, i personally will buy other brands if possible |

| Does anyone have good links to info on proper Marine insignia disply? I would like to complete my woodland digi with proper insignia display, to include our new patch ordered right here on the forum. I do not plan to display any particular rank right now, just the US flag, name tape, Marine tape etc. I was wondering if the Marines would be similar to the ACU display that is easily found throughout the net: http://homepage.mac.com/cptchaz/iblog/C223513943/E20070409202919/Media/ACU%20QF%20333.png _________________ "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and if you look long into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Agreed, Tru-Spec sucks, I had some of their woodland BDU's a while back and never used them again after a few games when I first started playing. _________________ Dboys AKS-74 Dboys AK74M Dboys AKMS Dboy's HK416 Alabama Airsoft's Official Gear Whore.
