Hey guys been doing a lot of thinking about airsoft and photography, and how I could do a little of both and I have come to a conclusion. A.A.P.S.S. Alabama airsoft photography and support squad. The team would be for taking video and still shots of the game in which the team attends. A small charge for batters and equipment usage would be how we found it all and the team could go straight from the battle to taking pics and videos of the game. I wont to know if any body would be interested in doing something like this with me and also if anyone would be willing to pay a small fee for a team to do this. Anybody have a opinion on this. Like to get some feed-back before I try to get a team like this together for nothing. All feed back is welcomed. Thank you Anthony Stephens

I would think this is something an event host would need to look at or a team. I'm not sure you could have a crew chasing one person around. Its seems this would be better suited for a group or an event. I team would only need one guy though. Figure out what one cameraman costs to operate and what they can cover and charger per man accordingly. BUT THIS GREAT IDEA!

Ok, so maybe set it up like this then. 1 cameraman and 4 support people ( most likely less like 2 ) the team fights until something that looks good comes up and they then go to camera mode while the other part of the team moves and assists the assaulting or defending team (which ever one they are following). And maybe have more than one team (1 cameraman and 2 support people) running around as to get the bigger scope of the battle.

Sure, how ever you want to do it. I don't think you are going to get a lot of people to cover your costs if people apart of your group are actually playing. Business is business. If SCA was interested in we would just want a cameraman. It would seem a little off to have people we don't know running with us when we are paying to capture us digitally. Maybe I don't understand. If anyone has input, speak up.

ok i like were you are going with this it would be like adding another role to the team for a shot time. -if a team is wanting to be filmed and they pay, follow them around -but if a host or a event wants to be filmed then run with a little of everybody. i like that idea its just dropping the others because they are not needed LOVE IT, for a single team but i was thinking of like a big game that’s why i included the other 2 people. Because you have to get your airsoft in just hand the camera off to someone else on the team, do you see were i am going with this, but having just a team to be filmed that’s great.

If I was to pay for video of a team or an event, I would expect that camera person or group to be shooting footage the entire time. Part of what you would have to offer would be a clean edited video from what was shot. For an event, I would want multiple camera men taking footage of the event all day then merge all of that footage into one video that I could offer to the participants. At Operation Irene, they produce a DVD for the event. I do not know if it is included it your registration fees or it is purchased separately.

I would also expect the people I was paying to have high quality gear to, not just an 5 MP camera you can get at walmart. _________________ Dboys AKS-74 Dboys AK74M Dboys AKMS Dboy's HK416 Alabama Airsoft's Official Gear Whore.

Well star wars if i was useing a huge camera and it took 50$ to film with it i would charge alot, but it would be a good camera and maby like 10$ depending on how long the batters last. on each camera. im not made of money and if anybody wonts to charge 10$ to run with a 1000$(and up camera) that might get broken have fun. and this is just a idea (for now).
