WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SgtBadinov
My name is Cody Jones and I have multiple bad experiences trading and selling with SgtBadinov whom I met through these forums. Twice now he has tried to steal what I sold to him, first by demanding his money back afterwards (without intending to return the gun, might I add) and now by suing me over an incident involving him paying for a gun I lent him that he broke.
First, I sold him an incomplete gun worth about $200 for $70 as he wanted to build his own gun using it as a base. Not long after he bought it his grandfather called me complaining that it was 'broken' and that he wanted the $70 back. I explained to him that his grandson, SgtBadinov, knew it wasn't complete before he bought it... in fact, he knew it wasn't complete when I handed it to him since it was missing the top reciever, dust cover, and battery and that that's the way he wanted it as he wanted to build his own gun. Nothing else came of this incident, but it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Than on July 25th I hosted 'Operation: Iron Will' at Bad Karma and at this event SgtBadinov asked to borrow my Dboys AKS-74U for the event. We agreed that if he broke it, he would pay for it and during the event he did just that; broke it. I ended up having to pay $150 dollars to replace the gun and SgtBadinov's grandfather sent me a check for that amout. Maybe a week later, SgtBadinov's grandfather calls me telling me he wants the gun 'he paid for'. I told him that wasn't our agreement, that the gun is worth MORE than $165 and that what he paid for was repairs, as agreed when I lent SgtBadinov the rifle. Now, he's suing me.
That's the last straw in my book; I won't be doing any buisness whatsoever with SgtBadinov again and I would advise the community here to do the same.
Also, since this is actually going to court, has anyone else here had such an experience with this member that they could relate to me?
