I just ordered this gun off the megastore. I've been wanting to try the gunner role for a while now, so I thought why not. This thing is gonna be a brick, but I'm pretty excited about it. Ill update the posts when i get it in. It's supposed to arrive Friday. Here's the link:

The Venerable M60

Hello Everyone,

I currently carry an A&K M249 and I love it. I have always liked support weapons.

I thought that I would start an M60 thread for those who like the older Vietnam Era M60A1 aka "The Pig".

Anybody as anxious as I waiting on A&K to come out with their M60A1 in 2010?

I certainly want one. I am saving up for it now.

Respectfully,

Esquire122

My friend is looking at getting an Echo 1 USA drum mag for his AK. How good is this mag, it is manual with a butterfly wind? Does he need to get an electric mag instead? He wants to make his Dragunov a support gun because it dosn't have a good range but a high rate of fire.

I traded my AKS74U for the M249. I have a few new parts in it already but the tuning is the bigger deal. First off, the motor is utter garbage. Its not even worth using it as a paper weight due to the embarrisment ensuing suck a terrible conversation piece. CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!

I received mine a little over a month ago. Out of box, it worked great. It have above average compression and the ROF was nothing less than intimidating with my 9.6v 4700. Within 2.5 hours of play things stated to slip into "that" spiral.

PROS:

Very light weight (12 lbs loaded with .25g BBs)

Well balanced

Piston release lever

Two position spring guide

Can easily hold a 10.8v SC battery

Trigger pull is a nice change. You just need to try it, its heavier than normal ...
