i just put a 12volt car relay in my gun along with a 4400 microfarad capacitor bank and a 30 amp resettable fuse....i also added 2.4 volts to my battery.

my setup went from 16 rounds per second to 24 rounds per second.

the relay,capacitors,fuse,speaker wire increased it by 4 rps

the extra 2.4 volts increased it another 4 rounds per second.

I am considering modifying a drill charger and making my battery 14.4 volts...that would give me 28 rounds per second....but then i may have to use midcaps to keep up with the rps.

update....the gun is still holding up fine...it shoots great

i did however have a problem with anti reversal latch springs.....so far it has went through 4 of them----they wear out and break off after 3-4000 rounds

to try and fix this problem i used a spring off of the airsoft motor brushes which is much thicker wire...i stretched it out and made a new anti reversal latch for it ...so far it has had 900 +/- rounds and has done fine hopefully it will outlast the stock spring

does anyone know where i can find upgraded anti-reversal latch springs???

What about a spring from a toggle bolt?

i think Airsoft Atlanta has a Systema anti-reverse spring,not sure if its any better then any other standard one though.but man thats awesome you uped your rate of fire like that.freakin sweet

The systema spring will be weaker.

after several thousand rounds the anti-reversal spring made out of the airsoft motor brush springs has not broken ....
this is a good fix for high rof setups.

well ive tasted some of the best of aeg potential....385 fps with 24 rps is nice.....the bearings in my modify gears burnt out....i ordered the bearing type on accident but still they are a $90 set of gears.....im thinking about putting some gears into the umg and selling it. and going with a gas gun setup....any suggestions?

also....mateba.....the reason for the drop in fps b4 my gun broke was that my spring actually broke....in my gun and 2 teeth got broken off as my gears fell apart and metal shavings probably ruined my air seal

i thought i had a bad piston too....wow....this sucks..i guess i deserve it though

Gas gun setup would be nice. I really wanted to get an escort based M4 or MP5 because they use AEG mags and are easy to upgrade and find parts for... and they're really cool. Most other guns use expensive mags, like $50-80, and they don't hold many bbs. But I went with a Kokusai Crimebuster. I got one custom from Booster on classicairsoft.net. I just got it in today. It's not broken in or fine tuned yet, but I can still easily hit a chest sized target at 200ft, and probably farther but that's all the distance I had to shoot today. It's very consistent also, 10 shots ranging from 404 to 409fps when I tested it.

The Daytona Guns are nice also. Any of their stuff is a good choice. I'm sure Matt will make it over here to post soon, so you'll have some more info any time now...

Yep, they're sweet if you want recoil. You can actually order them retail from airsoft extreme but they are a pretty penny. Airsoft extreme has a nice bundle of items they offer with their guns which allow you to play out of box. I would say there prices offer some good value.

....good lord man.....your gun has had a long and ummmm well lived life. i think i have an idea of what rifles you can get to replace it.

it would be pretty cool for cgb like situations.

this would be a very unique choice for a dmr and i believe it has a v2 gearbox that you could upgrade to turn it into a monster ( i don't know if you can put a cmag in that gun though)

i also think the we gas m4 would be a cool weapon to have. But, i dont know if it has a lot of upgrade options and the gas might be a hassle ( i guess you could get a rig much like mateba has for his m700)

looks like that gun would be allright ....if i was a garden gnome........im thinking more on the lines of gas sniper rifle and gas skorpion for up close...or auto pistol

i looked at some of the guns yall suggested ...they are nice.....i also contacted xcaliber tactical about a strafer that shoots 350 with .2's...if the price is right i might go with one of those

doesn't someone in sca have a gas skorpion?
