well ..well.... Ive managed to strip 3 gearsets, 1 pinion gear , and 1 piston head bolt in the last week. and i managed to backfeed current through a sw cheetah and fry it as well. about $220 worth of stuff. a screw came out of the piston head and caused the gears to strip during the 3rd game at noob day this weekend. im planning on buying this. 1 x Prometheus High Volt / Reinforced / Hi-Speed Gear Set. 1 x Prometheus Stainless Reinforced Piston Head. 1 x King Arms Selector Plate for G36 Gear Box. 1 x Systema Oilless Metal Bushing. 3 x G&P RC / Airsoft DIN Plug T-Shape Connector Set ( One Male One Female) - Large Type could some of the technical guys tell me what they think. i already have a good piston, cylinder, cylinder head, anti reversal latch, air nozzle, and 110,120 springs i will be running this with a systema magnum and 9.6 4200 mah nimh battery

Magnum, large 9.6v, and high speed gears may not be a great choice. It will probably result in catastrophic failure.

| i thought that if i bought a good enough gearset it would handle the 9.6 and magnum but i only want to run an m110 or m120 spring new ideas

gun works great now . shoots 400 fps with .25s and has a good rate of fire. I plan on putting either a acog or eotech replica on the gun instead of the rifle scope.

Are you shimming these gear sets when you put em in?

the modify set is pre shimmed and cannot move. the aim monster sets have an auto shimming feature that worked well for months but i think the springs started to weaken and caused them to get messed up. the last set of gears was ruined by a mistake i made. i didn't tighten the piston head bolt enough or i overtightened it . it fell out and jammed behind the piston.

It sounds slow. 20rps is easy to keep in the sadle. Hell, I'd get a G&P M120 and an 11.1 lipo and shoot for 30rps or... Do you use a fuse? Is your motor running slower to you? If I had to guess your motor is about to crap out. Check the collar under your brushes and take a pic. If its what I think is you may be able to salvage it but thats really low unless you have uber torque gears or a half dead battery. Lipo setups are a pain to start but they are king when it comes to performance. The G&P M120s are $26 at redwolf. Yes, they kick *ss!

I am seriously considering getting a 12 volt battery. then installing a mosfet to bypass the trigger. the gun has a systema magnum, modify torque modular gears, and m120 spring, angel silent piston head. I have been running through 2 fully wound up mags simultaneously. last game i shot about 4500 bb's. ill check the motor and see what it looks like. I dont want to go any higher on the fps because i still want to be within alabama limits.

Larger wires may be an option, but how big are yours already? You don't smell a burnt smell while firing do you? You need at least 14g wires, imo.

I would recommend getting an 11.1v li-po before getting a 12v nicd. |

i am planning on getting a lipo but first im going to buy 4 4200 mah cells and add them to my 9.6 4200 battery. this will make them both 12volt 4200 maH NIMH BATTERIES. later on in the summer i plan on getting a lipo.
